Hotel La Plaza is in the centre of Corvara in Alta Badia. So, staying here you’ll be surrounded by the stunning UNESCO protected Dolomite mountains. It’s the perfect base for a summer getaway, with well-marked mountain trails right on your doorstep. It’s run by the lovely Eduard Pescolderung and his team, who’ll welcome you with a smile. They have a great sense of pride for their home region and the local Ladin culture – and rightly so! They’ll be more than happy to share the best hiking routes and top tips for exploring Alta Badia with you.
The hotel has that authentic alpine feel – lots of pine furniture and decorated in homely warm tones. A restful night’s sleep is a given in the simple, comfortable guest rooms. We love that they all have balconies where you can enjoy views of the surrounding mountains. The comfort rooms have been updated more recently - upgrade to one of them and you’ll have a little more space too.
Make the most of the gorgeous location and soak up some sun on the terrace or in the garden – there’s bar service out here so you can enjoy tea, coffee or even a cold beer if you fancy! The free tea and cake each afternoon is a real treat, especially if you’ve been out hiking or cycling all day. There’s also a small spa, where you can pamper yourself with a relaxingsauna or dip in the whirlpool, all included in the hotel price (must be pre-booked locally).
