If you're looking for an authentic mountain retreat, Pension Angelo is a great choice. It's a family-run hotel just outside the centre of Corvara. Jump on the free public bus to get to the centre of town or the lifts that'll take you to the mountain trails. The décor here is a simple Alpine style - it's a lovely, cosy place to come back to after a busy day and the friendly staff make it feel homely. The same owners have the four star Sporthotel Panorama next door and you can use some of the facilities here. This is where you'll have dinner each night too.
If it's your first time in Corvara, we recommend joining one of the guided excursions that are run by the staff. It's a great way to get to know the area. If you get some time before dinner, head to the small wellness area to chill out in the steam room or sauna. If you want something more, you can use the pool at Sporthotel Panorama for a local charge.

Rooms
Small Double Rooms are about 18m² and sleep up to two people. They have a shower, TV, safe and a hairdryer.
Standard Rooms are about 26m² and sleep up to three people, the extra bed is a single sofa bed. They have a balcony with lovely mountain views and a bath or shower.
Single Rooms are about 14m² and located on the first floor. They're perfect for solo travellers as there's no single supplement on these rooms.

It's quite a steep walk back up to the hotel from the village of Corvara, but the hotel run a shuttle service to and from the centre and the lifts.
Meals - food and drink in Pension Angelo
The hotel's got a great selection of bread, fruit, jams, honey, yogurt and pastries for breakfast. There's hot options too so you can fill up before you head out for the day. They don't provide packed lunches here, but they're happy for you to prepare filled rolls at breakfast that you can take out with you for lunch in the mountains.
Dinner is served in Sporthotel Panorama, the Pension Angelo's sister hotel, about 50 metres down the road. You'll have a four course evening meal, with choices. You can also use the bar and lounge area in the Panorama.
