Location: where is Suite Grizzly

A fantastic ski in – ski out location in the very heart of Arc 1950. Situated along the side of the Baptiste Giabiconi blue piste and opposite the Marmottes and Bois de L'Ours chairlifts. The whole resort completely pedestrianised and car-free, you can literally ski right through the centre.

Suite Grizzly accommodates 6 to 10 guests in three en-suite bedrooms, two of which have additional bunk beds (charged at half the adult price). This suite is situated on the fifth floor of the building, offering a killer combination of stylish comfort and luxurious furnishings in a sensational location.

The open plan living / dining area provides ample space for a family or friends to unwind after a day on the mountain. Your dedicated chalet host will provide a cooked breakfast, afternoon tea, canapes on the first and last evening, and a 3 course evening meal on 6 nights, followed by a cheese board and coffee and served with a choice of red and white wine.

Each of the en-suite bedrooms can be presented as either a twin or a double. Head down the hallway and straight out into the pedestrianised village of Arc 1950.The newest and most aesthetic of the Arc villages, Arc 1950 offers an array of activities for all ages and charming restaurants, bars and cafes.

This brand new home of ours in Arc 1950, Bear Resort, comprises of 12 independent chalet-apartments and a 30 bedroom piste-side lodge. Suite Grizzly offers the intimacy of our reputable chalet service with access to the fabulous facilities of Bear Resort; a spacious communal lounge and bar, a sizeable pool complex with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and massage suites, gym, cinema, kids playroom and concierge ski room with rental shop.

Our Executive Chef is passionate about food and hugely sensitive to the appetite of a hungry skier whilst considering a balanced diet. The new and refined menus are heavy enough to reward mountain exertion yet light and simple enough to leave you grinning not groaning.

All our catered ski holidays include;

  • Continental breakfast with a cooked option on 6 mornings
  • Afternoon tea will be left in the chalet for you to help yourself to freshly made cake or biscuits, bread & jams, selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate
  • Canapés on the first and last evening
  • 3 course evening meal (6 nights) followed by cheese board and coffee
  • A choice of red and white wine is served throughout dinner

This package holiday to Suite Grizzly in Les Arcs, France departs Sunday 2nd February 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. Les Arcs came to be in 1968 after a group of ski instructors and architects dreamt up a resort with all the perks of a village but a mountainside location. As you'd expect from one of the biggest ski areas on the planet, there's everything from gorgeous tree-lined runs to wild, white-knuckle off-piste. For beginners, each of the 3 main Arcs has 'ski tranquille' zone, and the wide beginner runs leading to the resort have gentle gradients perfect for practising. Local instructors are on hand to show you the ropes, with ski schools based in each of the main villages (1800 has the most). If you're looking for a party, Arc 1800 is the place to be. With heaps of watering holes like the Red Hot Saloon (or the 'Red Bar' to use local lingo), Benji's and La Folie Douce. If you're looking for more of a French-style après spot, Ambiente Cafe has a really cool atmosphere and lots of nice cocktails (happy hour usually starts at 4) while Le club 1950 your venue if you're looking to party into the wee hours.
