It’s also bang up-to-date, with a sleek modern look inside and out. Plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows mean you’re never far from a mountain view, whether you’re après-ing in the lounge or tucking into local specialities in the dining room. And they do their best to be eco-friendly too, using green energy to power the building.

Another highlight is the hotel’s big wellness area. The Acquapura Organic Spa is all about feeling zen, with saunas, a Turkish bath and a tempting menu of treatments. Head next door, and it’s wall-to-wall watery fun for little ones with splash pools, sprinklers and a giant water flume.
