Pension Kumbichlhof Summary

Mayrhofen’s known for having a pretty lively aprés scene with a great choice of bars and clubs. So naturally, finding a quieter nook will be critical for some. Well, whether you prefer a more serene post-piste experience or just want somewhere more peaceful to rest up for another day’s skiing, Kumbichlhof’s a great pick.

You’re still close enough to make the most of Mayrhofen’s best bars and restaurants though, since it's a short stroll into the resort's more vibrant centre – so you get the best of both worlds. The lifts are close by too. Just around the corner’s the Ahornbahn gondola, if you fancy practising on some blues before winding your way back to town on the Ahorn 5 red slope. Or walk just a little further and you’ll find the Penkebahn gondola – your ticket to exploring the mountains and even more ski areas.

Family-run, with a traditional Austrian look, Kumbichlhof’s just right if you love that authentic, rustic feel. Things are very simple on the facilities side here, but your hosts have a few delights in store when you come to stay. The top highlights would have to be the fresh-from-the-farm treats at breakfast each morning, along with some absolute knockout views of the Tyrols.

Please note: There are no lifts at this hotel.
