Villa e Palazzo Aminta is a great choice for a luxury holiday on Lake Maggiore. It’s one of the best hotels in the area thanks to its lakeside location with views towards the Borromean Islands. The centre of Stresa can be reached easily along the lakefront promenade and there's a free shuttle too.

This hotel is family-run and all of the staff take great pride in what they do. Everything is well maintained - we love the Venetian floors and marble columns in the lobby. There’s lots of places to relax, both inside and out. Order a drink at the bar and chill out on one of the soft sofas or head to the gardens where little tables and chairs have been set up next to the colourful flowers. The outdoor pool is at the front of the property and looks out over the lake. It’s a lovely place to read a book while you sun bathe. Inside you’ll find a nice spa with a Hammam and whirlpool.

The rooms offer the same luxury and comfort as the rest of the hotel. They've got rich fabrics, Italian furniture and private balconies with views of the gardens or the lake. Some of the best lake views can be had over dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. There’s a high standard here with delicious local dishes and some excellent wines that complement the food perfectly.

The impeccable menu offers traditional dishes that are complemented by an extensive wine list. You'll eat a three-course dinner here on the half board package and a buffet breakfast is served each morning.

Il Patio is the hotel's terrace. Sit out here with a front row view of the beautiful lake and the Borromean Islands. It's open through out the day for breakfast, dinner and snacks.

Restaurant I Mori celebrates Italian cuisine in a lovely dining room that has lake views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Open for lunch and dinner.

I Principi Bar is open all day for refreshments including fresh coffee, local wines and cocktails.

The Winery offers wine tasting with tastings of cheeses and local products in a welcoming location. This needs to be booked and paid for locally.
