- Hotel Teresa description
Hotel Teresa is surrounded by nature at the foot of the famous Plan de Corones mountains. It’s the perfect base for an active holiday. The area's known for its hiking trails, road biking and mountain biking with lots of downhill and free ride paths to choose from. If you want to head up into the mountains, the Pedagà-Piz de Plaies cable car is just 300 metres away. The Schanung-Vallazza family really know their stuff. They’re experts on the area and are always happy to offer advice and recommendations on where to head for the day. They even offer free excursions – we loved wildlife watching in the UNESCO National Park.
The rooms all have a homely feel with private balconies and great views of the natural surroundings. If you can, upgrade to a Superior Room. They are just that bit larger and have been decorated in a more modern alpine style. The food here is definitely something to shout about. The hearty Landin cuisine really hits the spot after a day out in the mountains. The hotel are committed to sustainability and have collaborated with local farms and organisations to make sure that the produce is “zero kilometre” where possible.

Meals - food and drink in Hotel Teresa
Food is a real focal point here. At breakfast each morning you’ll find a wide selection of breads, pastries, fruit, yoghurt and cereals. They also have some hot options like scrambled eggs. Dinner is a choice of four courses accompanied by a salad and vegetable buffet. Once a week they have a traditional Ladin evening where you can get a real feel for the region's culture and typical foods.
Teresa Restaurant centres its food around Tyrollian, Landin and Mediterranean culture – so expect traditional mountain fare and Italian flavours. Farms here in the Alto Adige region, are increasingly diversifying. They are becoming more and more focused on sustainability and the idea of zero kilometre food. The hotel have collaborated with these local producers to ensure, where possible, that the food they serve is locally and sustainably sourced. All of the pasta and bread is homemade – making it irresistible in our opinion.
They have a wide and varied wine list too. They pay special attention to the Alto Adige wine specialities, so just ask for recommendations and they’ll be happy to advise.
Le Café & Bar has a homely atmosphere, delicious pastries and homemade ice cream. It’s an nice place for an aperitif too - they have excellent fresh fruit liqueurs.
