Having undergone a recent renovation the Galomar has been transformed into a modern yet comfortable hotel that’s warm and welcoming. You’ll find a spa onsite where you can enjoy treatments and massages (payable locally), perfect for soothing tired legs after exploring the Levadas of Madeira. There’s a outdoor pool that sits on the cliff-top looking out towards the Atlantic Ocean and is a great spot to watch the sunset. There’s also the unique addition of a seawater pool at the bottom of the cliffs with a bathing platform and direct access to the sea.

Take a dive in the ocean

Its not often that a hotel has a diving school attached to it (bookable and payable locally) and believe us when we say you'll want to dive right into these beautiful waters. These waters are some of most protected in Portugal and are therefore full of marine life.

Sustainability focused

During its recent renovation, the hotel put a great deal of thought into how they can run more sustainably and now the building is 100% energy self-sufficient. For those equally as passionate about the environment you can even refer to a screen in your room to watch your live energy usage.

For half board and full board dinner is at the Restaurant Ondamar in the neighbouring Hotel Sentido Galosol which offers a daily themed buffet (the Restaurant Ondamar has a separate area for Hotel Sentido Galomar guests). If guests wish to try out the other hotel restaurants then you can receive a credit to use towards your meal and pay locally for any additional charges, booking in advance is necessary.
