Hotel Salgart has one of the most idyllic locations in Merano. It’s on the outskirts of the town, surrounded by vineyards and orchards with views over the stunning Etch Valley. The centre of Merano is a pleasant 20-minute walk away or you can use the local buses that stop around a five-minute walk away from the hotel.
This is a family-run place that strives to make every guest feel at home. The rooms have been renovated in a modern style with balconies either facing the rear of the hotel, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet, or over the pool, where you can take advantage of the sun. The hotel’s amenities are plentiful with a lovely outdoor pool and a separate heated indoor pool. The new dining room offers panoramic views and local cuisine, using fresh produce to create South Tyrolean and Italian dishes.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast buffet. There's an organic corner too for a healthy treat.
The hotel restaurant is open Monday to Saturday and the half board package includes dinner for six nights of the week. Dinner is three courses and you'll have a choice of starter, main course and dessert. On Sunday, when the restaurant is closed you'll have a free night to try out one of the local restaurants in Merano. There's a lovely homemade dessert buffet and a big buffet dinner once a week. Early meals for children are available on request.
