- Hotel La Stua description
You’ll instantly feel right at home at Hotel La Stua. We love its location in the centre of San Cassiano, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. The gondola is only 500 metres from the hotel so you can be on the hiking trails in no time. It’s also nice to just walk around the village. It’s small but packs in lots of charm and some of the best restaurants in the Dolomites – there’s enough Michelin stars here to keep even the most discerning palates happy.
The hotel’s been run by the same family for years and they’ve created a very comfy and welcoming atmosphere. It’s got a traditional charm about it with cosy rooms and lots of local features – think pine furniture and wood-beamed ceilings. There’s only 20 rooms here so you’ll get to know the other guests. The bar is a great place to grab a drink, chat about your day and get ideas about what to do the next. You can look forward to filling up each night on local food. The Ladin night is a great chance to eat some of the region’s favourite dishes like turtres (fried patties) spätzle (a kind of fresh egg pasta) and canederli (a sort of dumplings).

The dining room is a casual spot where you'll have your filling breakfasts and tasty home cooked dinners. With large windows and bright interiors it has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast is buffet style with homemade pastries, cakes, cereal, bread, cheeses and cold cuts. Dinner is a set menu of three courses, with a choice of main course only accompanied by a salad and vegetable buffet. Once a week they hold a traditional Ladin buffet dinner in the rustic tavern (subject to numbers).
