Hotel Bellavista definitely lives up to its name. The views are incredible. It’s right on the lake edge and we love settling down on a lounger next to the pool and looking out over Lake Como. The hotel’s central and close to the wonderful selection of shops, bars and restaurants in Menaggio. You’ll also have the ferry port and local bus service at your disposal.

The hotel began life as a residential villa and has since been extended and renovated to create a bright and relaxed hotel. The restaurant is under a different management and it’s renowned for its fantastic food. Head here for local delicacies and fresh fish right from the lake. The al fresco veranda is the perfect spot to enjoy dinner and an aperitif as the sun sets behind the surrounding mountains.

The Bellavista is a great base for an active holiday. You can spend your days out exploring the many towns on the lake – they’re easily accessible by ferry. If you’d rather have the water to yourself, there are a number of places locally where you can hire a boat. Speak to the staff who’d be happy to recommend things to see and do.

Standard Rooms have lake views from the window. They sleep up to two people in a double or twin beds. Facilities include air conditioning, TV, safe, hairdryer and a bathtub or shower. These rooms with a balcony are available for a supplement.

Single Rooms are also available for solo travellers. These rooms have a shower and look out across the road.

The resort of Menaggio is flat however to get from hotel to ferry port you would need to walk next to a fairly busy main road and in places pavement gets too narrow for a wheelchair.

A continental buffet is served each morning with freshly baked pastries, fresh fruit and coffee. Hot options are available at an additional cost.

If you dine in for dinner you can expect very high quality food with lots of local dishes and international favourites. We recommend trying the fish.

There's a bar open all day and you can take your drinks out onto the terrace to make the most of the views.
