- Grand Hotel Francia & Quirinale description
Francia & Quirinale is one of our favourite hotels in Montecatini. It’s got a lovely modern style with inviting public areas. The lounge has comfy sofas and an elegant décor with well-chosen antiques – we love chilling here with a drink before dinner. The rooms all have parquet floors and large windows that let plenty of light in. The staff are great too and the family who’ve run this hotel for four generations know how to make every guest feel special.
You’ll be well located here to explore Montecatini and further afield. The hotel’s just a short walk from the centre of town and close to the thermal spas – a must do while you’re here. The train station is within walking distance and there are regular trains to Florence, Lucca and Pisa. When you need to relax, the hotel’s pool is a great place. It’s lovely and peaceful with plenty of loungers for everyone. The pool bar serves drinks and light lunches so you won’t need to move if you don’t want to.
Transfer time: approx. 50 mins by shared transfer from Pisa airport.

Meals - food and drink in Grand Hotel Francia & Quirinale
Each morning there's a fresh breakfast in the main restaurant and there's plenty of choice for your evening meal. Every dish uses local produce that's personally selected by the hotel owner and the kitchen staff in order to ensure quality. Early meals for children are available on request.
The Central Restaurant is open exclusively for hotel guests. The bright space is decorated in an elegant Art Nouveau style with green velvet chairs, parquet floors and beautiful Murano glass chandeliers. This is where your breakfast and dinners will be served. They follow a zero-kilometre ethos where possible, so most of the food served in the restaurant is organic and local.
Bar Lo Scudo D'Archille is named after the beautiful Flemish tapestry that hangs on one of the walls. Sink into the comfy mustard sofas with an espresso or cappuccino or pull up a velvet stool at the bar and watch as the bartender creates a delicious cocktail for just for you - it's a great spot for an aperitif. Hotel guests can book to have light lunches here and in the evening it opens up to the public serving dishes from the refined a la carte menu (payable locally).
The Ginori Room offers an exclusive sensory experience, serving traditional Tuscan dishes with a modern twist. This restaurant must be pre booked and you can choose from the Grand Carte (payable locally). The wine list is extensive - the maître sommelier, Giuseppe Marchi, will be happy to help with recommendations.
The Pool Bar serves snacks, salads, light lunches and cocktails every day during the summer months.
