Wengen Christmas holidays

The snow has usually accumulated enough by Christmas to provide excellent skiing, but if it’s a bad snow year don’t fret, over 50% of the pistes have artificial snow making capabilities and you can always head up on the train to higher areas such as Kleine Scheidegg.
The town’s festive atmosphere is enhanced by the snowy footpaths and Christmas decorations that line the peaceful pedestrian streets. Families will enjoy winter activities such as ice skating and tobogganing. If you haven’t brought presents from home don’t worry, there’s some good shopping to be had - Wengen usually has a lovely Christmas market in the sunny square near the train station - sip on some spicy glühwein and munch on raclette while you browse the stalls. The town has an English church as well, should you wish to go to mass on Christmas Eve or Day.
