St Moritz Half Term holidays
St. Moritz is one of those places you really ought to visit at least once, especially if you enjoy skiing, and February is an excellent time to go. The ski conditions are usually very good around this time, but if it’s a bad snow year then the resort is still a wise choice, as the high altitude and plethora of snow cannons make it one of the most snow sure ski areas in the Swiss Alps. The Corviglia area is particularly suited to intermediates, and directly accessible from both St. Moritz Dorf and St. Moritz Bad. If you’re willing to travel further afield you have access to 3 more great ski areas, Corvatsch, Diavolezza/Lagalb, and Zuoz, which tend to stay quiet even during the busy months.
The resort has some brilliant facilities for families. There’s a kindergarten, play area and children’s restaurant at Salastrains. You can also visit the Family Pool in nearby Zernez, which has indulgent wellness facilities to entice adults as well as children. In the town you’ll find the Ludains ice rink, and plenty of child-friendly restaurants and cafes (we love Hanselmann’s) for a bite to eat.
