Klosters Half Term holidays
Klosters has been attracting famous faces and Olympic skiers for years, so take a visit this February half-term and see what all the fuss is about. Everybody is sure to be charmed by the stunning scenery, traditional Swiss architecture and the friendly locals. The Swiss tourism association has honoured the resort as a ‘Families Welcome’ destination and rightly so - it makes a terrific holiday for families looking for some time on the mountains during the week off school. Both little and big kids will appreciate the great restaurants and exciting activities including tobogganing, ice skating, horse-drawn sleigh rides and a cinema.
The ski area has a track record of remarkably good snow conditions at this time of year. There are a variety of runs to suit all levels of skier and the off-piste is some of the best in Switzerland. From the main gondola in the centre of the village you can access the Gotchna area, home to the 12km long route down to Kublis and an abundance of freeride lines through the trees and on the Wang. For teens and boarders, there’s the half-pipe and Meierhofen park in the Parsenn area. Younger children will be enthralled with the play park and children’s ski school on Madrisa which has lots of fun activities such as a mini ski course and a bouncy castle.
