Grindelwald Half Term holidays
February is peak skiing time in Grindelwald and if the snow history is anything to go by, it is usual to experience some of the best conditions of the season during this month. There are slopes to suit all abilities, from the nursery slopes in Bodmi and Kleine Scheidegg to the long reds on Männlichen, and for experts there’s the challenging Lauberhorn World Cup run. Children are well catered for with the Snowli Kinderclub at the lovely children’s park in Bodmi, complete with a mini igloo village. The area is famous for its stunning scenery, and visitors will be greeted with breath-taking views of the historic Eiger north face at every turn.
As well as brilliant skiing, the resort has lots of other great facilities, including a big sports centre with an indoor rope park, ice rink, curling hall, internet café, spa facilities, and a swimming pool with a children’s pool and the thrillingly named ‘Black Hole’ slide. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars - make sure you try the tasty pizza at Onkel Tom's Cabin, or if you fancy a boogie head to the Mescalero Club in Hotel Spinne.
