Arosa Half Term holidays
Having left behind a grey February in Blighty, the sunny slopes of south-facing Arosa will be a sight for sore eyes. Thanks to high altitudes, the snow cover should be well established by this point, meaning forgiving conditions for beginners and awesome off piste for experts. ABC Snow Sports and the Swiss Ski Schools do a good job of helping beginners and improvers to feel at home on the slopes – for little ones, classes take place in the Arosa Junior Club kindergarten.
The usual off slope activities should be in full swing – ice skating on the Obersee and the toboggan run from Pratischli are two of our favourites. There’s a chance you might catch the 2 day Obersee Winter Golf Tournament (if you want to compete, they arrange individual training and welcome parties…). Don’t forget that Arosa has the tourist board’s stamp of approval as an Alpine Health Resort – the facilities at the Tschuggen Grand will have you returning to Blighty thoroughly refreshed and relaxed at the end of the week.
