Kranjska Gora Half Term holidays
This is one of the best weeks of the season to hit the Kranjska Gora slopes in terms of snow quality. Historically, February sees an average of 8 inches of fresh powder hit the slopes, which has helped the typical snow depth of 35 inches stay deliciously thick and fresh.
With most Brits heading to France and Austria, this part of the world tends to remain a bit quieter, which generally means plenty of room to cruise the corduroy, and more time spent focusing on technique than avoiding a long line of ski schoolers.
For advanced skiers half term's one of your best bets for fresh, knee-deep powder - hire a guide and explore various bowls and peaks in the elegant Julian Alps.
Back in the resort, the perfect end to a blue bird day is spent soaking up the sun at the Gostilna Oštarija with a relaxing beverage to hand before sliding into the water park at the Ramada resort where you can ease those aching muscles in the Jacuzzi. If you’re bringing the family, there should be more than enough to fill your off-slope schedule, from playing in the snow to dog-sledding and snowmobiling.
