1 review of Villa Armas Cabins in Yllas, Finland / Lapland.

The cabin we stayed in was fine and we had no problems at all. There were three of us in one cabin but it could have easily slept more – with just three it was very spacious, generous to say the least. I had a twin room to myself, we stored everything in the other twin and my niece and her boyfriend slept in the Mezzanine. Everything inside was clean and smart and the drying facilities were adequate.
The location was absolutely fine, you walk to the hotel to get the bus and it also takes about ten minutes (if you’re an active person) to walk into town to get your shopping. If you’ve had an energetic holiday, the walking around is not significant. When we were here in March, the roads had hard packed snow which does get slippery... this is no problem if you’ve got sensible walking boots but if you’re wearing ordinary town shoes you’d be at risk of falling and hurting yourself, so you do need a decent sole. We didn’t have to walk in ski boots much as we hired our gear separately each day (we mixed cross country and downhill skiing for the week) but the lifts wouldn’t be arduous to get to in ski boots.
We self catered mostly and only ate out one or two times, the supermarket is adequate, not up to Waitrose standards but about the level you’d find in ASDA and I don’t remember anything being extortionately priced.
You can use the facilities at the hotel and we were surprised how big the pool was. There are some other nice spots but we didn’t use them.
