Really central location in the heart of Val d’Isere and a short stroll to the slopes! It’s very close to the shops and bars, including Morris pub. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor pool area which you can access from inside the chalet hotel (and is heated). Also the staff here were amazing, friendly people and certainly took care of us! The food was great and my personal favourite was my balcony view over the square in the festive Christmas season. Would certainly go back!

We didn’t like our room, it was small, dark and cramped. It was above the kitchen as well so it was noisy. So avoid room 90! Room 89 is also above the kitchen.
Otherwise the food was great, and the staff were great and very friendly. We just walked across the square to get to the skiing.
There were quite a few children there although we thought we had avoided the peak Easter period. We had a late-ish sitting at dinner which meant it was mainly adults.

The chalet hotel was the perfect base for my week of ski lessons, located a 10-15min walk from Oxygene Ski's meeting point but still centrally located for the bars and shops of Val d'Isere. The food at the hotel was very good - simple, hearty British/Alpine dishes, with a real variety of meat, fish and vegetarian choices. My advice is to get to Afternoon Tea early, to ensure you've digested your homemade soup and naughty gateaux before it's time for dinner! The staff at the hotel really made the experience - always friendly and efficient, and more than happy to join in Articulate when a team is a member down... All in all, a very warm and welcoming place to stay.
