The Grand Hotel is really nice, I’ve stayed there before and everything was just as good this time.

They’ve got a spa which was lovely, with a swimming pool, sauna and treatments.

The food was absolutely outstanding! We had a half board booking and afternoon tea was included for free in the afternoons so you’d come back from skiing to tea and cake and little snacks like pasta, which was so nice. Breakfast was cheeses, hams, loads of cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon, sometimes sausages – if you asked them to do something different they would. Evening meals were three, sometimes four courses. This wasn’t run of the mill food, it was really lovely! Our family enjoyed everything on the menu but there was another family with children who wanted something different, and this wasn’t a problem for the staff. The staff really were amazing, so polite and always smiling – they couldn’t do enough for you.

The location is really lovely – the hotel’s right by the lake and you can walk straight into the town or to the ski lifts. They do have a little shuttle service although we didn’t need it because walking around is so easy.
