We’ve been here twice now and really loved it. It was just brilliant.
The pool and the jacuzzi were gorgeous! We really liked it and liked the location.
I thought it was a great hotel, the rooms are really comfy and for me a comfortable bed is KEY and the beds are really comfortable there, really nice!
We were half board and loved the food selection for breakfast and dinner. The wine choices too, obviously it was Swiss prices but it was delicious.
It was a 4-course meal in the evening. There was a salad buffet, but the starter and main you chose off a menu and it was served to you and the same for the dessert, unless you chose the cheese or something like that.
Then it was a buffet breakfast in the mornings.
We loved the food! The hotel did little shuttle runs to the key places for going off skiing, so that was really good. The year before, when the kids had lessons, we got the train and it was just a 5min walk (if that) to the train station and then you got the train up to the Kleiner Shindig where all the lessons were. I mean it’s not as easy as France or a ski in/out resort, but for us the hotel offset that because you had the view of the Eiger, it was really lovely and you were in a great location.
The whole resort is fantastic, they do little videos if you do their slaloms and there’s like a ski speed bit and so I’ve got little videos of us doing the slalom run next to each other. Going to Murren and skiing there for a day, and going up to the James Bond bit was fantastic! That was really good and it has really nice snow there.
The snow park in Grindelwald is also just fantastic in and really good for the jumps and everything.

Hotel was clean and tidy. Staff service were lacking a little but it didn’t ruin the stay. Felt like they prioritised other guests. Food was excellent. No complaints. Buffet for breakfast, set menu for dinner Private transfers would take you out to the different lifts in the morning. Bus back in the afternoon. Perfect time of year to go. As it was quiet, slopes were empty. 4.5/5
