1 review of Falkensteiner Hotel Cristallo in Katschberg, Austria.

The staff were really good, the facilities were great (although we didn’t get a chance to use them as we were too busy skiing, but it was clearly there to be used if we wanted to) and the hotel was fantastic.
The travel to and from the hotel was very smooth and easy too.
I’d highly recommend it for families, I don’t think I’d go there if I went on my own or if it was a group of adults, it was definitely a family resort. It was very much geared to families with kids and especially younger kids.
We really enjoyed the food, it was excellent. We were on full board, so we actually did go back during the day for lunch, which is something that I’ve never done in skiing. We actually made the effort to go back to the hotel, which again is an aspect of it’s convenience to get to it and from it, from the slopes. I wouldn’t have bothered if it was a big effort, and also the food was good enough for us to warrant going back to eat for lunch. The evening meal was fantastic too, you’d have to be a fussy person to argue about the food in that place. There was even a free ice-cream machine in reception to help yourself and they also put out snacks and pastries to snack on too.
The location of the hotel was ideal really, “conveniently located” I would call it. It was as much as ski in/ski out as you’d like, probably about a 50 meter walk away. It was all really easy.
