A smaller Club Med a bit more personable, but it did mean it felt a bit too busy. Nice warm swimming pool, and less entertainment than previous Club meds. Had limited options for gluten free diet, they sadly had no fresh juice on offer and being a smaller hotel had longer queues for a proper coffee. The weather wasn’t great and the terrace didn't have a view. The location is a bit out of town so it was a long walk to the village centre. Skiing back, you had to take an extra lift to ski back to the entrance everytime .Top tip make to make the most of the lessons and kids clubs arrive on the Sunday

Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Accommodation was a very high standard! Food top notch. Mostly good service but we had issues with transfers. Ski in ski out – doorstep skiing.

The best thing about Club Med Val d’Isere is that the staff were fantastic – always nice and attentive.
The location was fantastic as you could ski out the back of the ski room and get to the lifts in about five minutes.
The bedrooms were rather small but the spa was really nice.
A lot of people thought the food could have been better though, they didn’t turn the hot plates on so everything was luke warm and quite bland.
One disappointing thing was the ski school – my son wanted to try snowboarding and on his first lesson, the instructor split the group of 8 up, leaving him and 2 other girls with no instructor for half an hour. This put him off snowboarding and the head of the ski school tried to justify himself rather than apologise. If they plan to split the group, they should have had 2 instructors.
Apart from this the Club Med staff were great, and Val d’Isere’s a gorgeous resort.

Brilliant week! In terms of the hotel, really good food and service, loads of staff. Our ski instructor was awesome. Food and lessons were definitely the best bits!
Our room wasn’t great (a bit cramped and dated) but we didn’t spend much time in there anyway. On the whole, the hotel was well looked after.
I was a complete beginner, but after a few days I could make use of the ski in – ski out location which was great.
We chose this one as it was a week away without the kids – the hotel doesn’t have a kids club so we thought it would have a more adult atmosphere which it did, there were some children saying there but not loads. I would definitely go again if we were having another holiday as just the two of us - if we bring the kids next year we might try the Club Med over in Tignes.

We really like Club Med in Val d’Isere. I stayed here with my fiancé and would definitely recommend it to couples, or anyone else really!
It’s not the flashiest place in the world but if you want to ski with everything on your doorstep and be well looked after, it’s ideal.
The location is really good, it’s close to the town and you can ski out from the hotel.
The rooms are functional but nothing flash and everything about the food was really good (they did some nice local dishes).
They have a bar and had stuff on in the evenings but we didn’t really do much apart from ski and sleep!
