Accommodation modern, clean, staff were friendly very friendly and it was well run. Huge variety of food, tasty and well timed to start breakfast lunch and dinner, however we did get really sick. They said it wasn’t from the food but I’m unsure, was ill by day 3. All 3 of us did lessons, was really good and all improved, ski lessons for the little one were good. Access to skiing couldn’t have been better, bit of a lazy experience for us as no walking to anything! Entertainment great for the kids. Still a 4 out of 5 even after getting ill.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, we had the best time ever, rooms were 5/5, the food was 4/5, service was 5/5, ski schools were 5/5.
Location was 5/5, you really can’t beat ski in ski out.

Really good. Luckily, we had interconnecting rooms so was perfect for the kids. Food was good for the scale of the hotel – had great variety. Kids club food not great. Can’t beat it, ski in ski out. Make sure you register your credit card with reception before collecting skis.

The accommodation was very nice, lots of nice seating areas. Great selection of food! Situated on a green run that will take you back to the locker room.

Very nice warm feeling to the hotel. Rooms were modern and spacious Great selection of food. The specialty restaurant was a nice change of scene for the odd evening. Ski in ski out, can’t complain. Download the Club Med app, very helpful.

Overall very good, very happy.
The staff were all good. The bar staff and restaurant were great I have to say. At the peak time for meals it was very busy, but the staff turned over the tables very quickly, but it was just a busy time of year during the school holidays. There was a good variety of food, no complaints. Food quality was good.
Some days the food outside for the apres ski got knocked over by the kids, but other than that everything was great. The location was very good, great access to get everywhere, very happy. We went end of season so it got a little bit slushy on the way back to the hotel, but otherwise all good. I would give it a 5 but the sheer busyness of the hotel detracted it from full marks.

The overall experience was good, although there was not enough staff at the check-in on the change over day. The food was pretty good, we can't fault the service, we really enjoyed the specialty dining. The location was brilliant love the ski area works really well for the family.

A very good week! The food was excellent, with everything being a really high quality – we were all very impressed and had far too much to eat! Concerning the site in Alpe d’Huez, the hotel is well positioned. Overall it’s a nice hotel. Bedrooms could be a wee bit bigger but generally they were fine – everything was clean and we had nice views out of the windows. The swimming pool was fine and the entertainment was very good as well, we partook of that in the evenings. We liked the skiing in Alpe d’Huez and our guide was very good.
The hotel was really busy as it was the French school holidays and sometimes it could be a bit difficult to find tables at tea time. Generally it gave the place a good atmosphere though.

Overall I would say that the holiday was OK… This Club Med hotel isn’t nearly as nice as the one in La Plagne (2100) in terms of service. We walked into the rooms and we were disappointed with the quality of them, on previous years we’ve had bathrooms and these ones only had tiny showers. They were much smaller and less comfortable too. The other thing was that our room was on the first floor and going to bed every night with young children when the disco was going was quite irritating! We would have been better off on a higher floor.
The hotel was pretty dirty, things like the carpets were stained and hadn’t been hoovered.
The food was good generally, but a bug got into the hotel (whether food poisoning or a general stomach bug I don’t know) and a third of the guests went down with it. My son got it and bounced back after 24 hours, but my husband was laid up for 48 hours.
The staff were brilliant as always and the rest of the holiday (flights, pick up, transfers etc) went like clockwork.

Our third Club Med holiday, this time in Alpe d’Huez.
The food was brilliant, this chef definitely had an edge on the one in Avoriaz, but it always depends what chef you end up with as they change a lot.
Nino our ski instructor was absolutely fantastic and very patient. We’d get up for breakfast, meet him at 9.15 then come back for lunch and eat out on the sun loungers – it was so sunny for January and we’d just sit and soak the rays up, it was sublime.
Another thing that was absolutely brilliant is that when you get back from skiing, if you go to the massage room at 5 there’s a young guy doing yoga exercises. He went through the stretches and there was relaxing music in the background. It was something I really looked forward to each day, and whereas I’m normally stiffening up by Wednesday I wasn’t this time, I think it was really beneficial.
If there had to be anything outstanding about the holiday it would definitely be the ski and yoga instructors.
The room was small but always full so there were definitely takers, it would be great if they offered the same thing in all Club Med hotels.
If there’s anything to say, it would be that the double rooms are small, but you get what you’ve paid for. The hotels are all getting worn and tired looking, things like seat covers could always do with updating. That’s just the compromise of the price you pay, I don’t know if the 4* ones are better but we always go for the 3*.
We always go with a location where we don’t have to rely on coaches and buses, and it was great. We’d meet our instructor, then ski down to the main ski area and get the lift up.

Our stay here was very good – the location was excellent, ski and ski out is not perfect but OK.
Hotel and food were both fantastic.
The Club Med staff are always helpful, there if you need anything.
We ski with Club Med a lot and in our opinion they’ve got it down to a T.
The resort was good – snow great, nice pistes but the layout was a bit too wide for us, not at all contained and we found it difficult to orientate ourselves and it was a bit difficult in relation to getting back to the hotel.
Thanks,
Maria.

Nothing wrong with the hotel at all but not quite for us. It’s really family orientated but we went just the two of us – it would be amazing for families but I wouldn’t recommend it to couples like we were - there was loads on for children like the kids show in the evening with kids running all over the place. The food was nice but the restaurants really busy (again as its so popular for families) and because we were a couple we were squashed into a corner. The hotel is well located, skiing in and out was easy (I’m not a great skier and I found it fine).
