The hotel itself really clean, staff friendly, food good, quite liked the Sunday to Sunday as we get the family to ski together on the Saturday. Everyone was really helpful, it does everything that it says. Whatever we wanted, what worked particularly well was the childcare, when we went skiing they were looked after all day. If you come back a few minutes late from skiing they are still looked after.
The only couple of things that we found were it is quite full on, a lot going on all the time, probably great with older children. Evening meals don’t start late but when they are tired all day it’s quite a rush to feed them and get them to bed however we are thinking about going back to Grand Massif as we are going back again with family of young children.

It’s a good resort. We went in March so unlucky in with the snow. Staff are always excellent can’t complain about them, ski instructors great, usual high club med standard. Very well run can’t do enough for you they bend over backwards. Grandson was celiac got some gluten somewhere so he was unwell. Kids came down with sickness, people not coming out of their room, hand sanitisers started appearing in the hall.

There was a lot of entertainment, and the staff were very nice!
We stayed in interconnecting superior rooms and they were ok. I wouldn’t say they were extraordinary, but they were good. The beds were very comfortable!
I would say everything was good and we had a lovely holiday. I would give it a 4/5 for the holiday.
The food was good, varied and my small kids were happy. The teenagers were also very happy and they had lots of dessert! It was all good.
Possibly the highest point/highlight, was the ski access.
We got out of the hotel and we were on the snow! It was very good, very easy.

The hotel was fine, staff were fine. Food was fine, buffet so you take whatever you want. Ski -in ski out, only thing was lack of snow but they had snow cannons so there was snow. Ski lessons, guy was really nice, but not strict on level, ability mix was huge. Can’t cater for them all. Those who were truly in that level, can’t progress. Took some of the children to the black run - because they asked.

We were there the very first week they were open and a lot of the staff were new. The freshness and the cleanliness of the hotel and all the facilities was brilliant. It was a bit unusual getting used to the Club Med experience, where they actually come along and ask if they can sit down with you and join you for dinner and stuff like that. So we did meet quite a few nice people that we got on well with and we had dinner with and things like that. We had originally booked for Sestriere in Italy and we got moved at the very last minute all at Club Med’s cost and without having to pay any extra, that was great. The vast majority of stuff was really good, but the issue that we did have around the eating and drinking did detract from the overall experience. Firstly, the quality of the actual food was brilliant!
We had a couple of issues, in that for one thing the restaurant is a big open plan restaurant. There was no sort of organisation with that for queuing, so there were massive queues and inefficiencies for the way the food was laid out. There was a vending machine that gave orange juice but there were no sodas or cokes or anything like that (you can only get this at the bar). So the eating and drinking was let down by that. The location itself is ski in / ski out, it was right there on the slopes! There was snow too, which was great!

The interiors and decor is spectacular - a mix of modern and alpine. There are quirky features all around the hotel - gondolas in the restaurant that you can sit and eat in, huge deer sculptures by the pool, old chairlift seats on the terrace and more. I was a big fan.
I was here with a group of young adults, and we had a magnificent time, but the hotel is more suited towards families with children. That said, there is an amazing bar, huge restaurant and multiple lounge spaces, so it didn't feel like you were surrounded by kids all the time.
Once a week you get to have dinner in the Skyline Gourmet Lounge - don't forget to prebook this! What you may not realise is that this hotel is up on the mountain and you need to take the gondola down the mountain to walk around Samoëns village. This does mean that you have the ultimate ski-in ski-out access each day, but you will need to do some forward planning if you want to explore. The only extra money we spend was having lunch on the mountain - some days we came back to the hotel for lunch (included in the package), but other days we stayed over Flaine & Les Carroz. I stayed in a superior room with a balcony - loved the room, it was huge and clean, but a higher room with a mountain view would have been more enjoyable.
