Really good, really happy with the apartment, it worked really well with the meal plans, they were surprisingly easy to follow for 14 pax. Meal plans lacked fresh veg. Basic kitchen equipement. We did have an issue with the sink, we rang reception and it was fixed quickly. Pool facilities were good, but a little bit busy as it was French school holidays, gym had good cardio facilities but lacked weights. Location was good, really easy to get around. However 1950m has probably better shops and bars.

Brilliant Childcare and great chalet hosting as ever. The kids really enjoyed themselves and we had a great time skiing. This is our 4th holiday with this chalet company and it has delivered on all fronts again. Thank you.

We were quite surprised at the possibility of there being youths using the common room for lunch time, which we weren’t aware of before we got there – however because it was during a quiet week our chalet was not used for the ski school kids etc in the end. The food was ok and staff also ok. The location wasn’t that bad, it isn’t ski in, ski out, but it didn’t claim to be. It took a bit of a tour around the resort to get out. The ski room had good boot heaters and the pool and sauna there were ok, although the hygiene standards weren’t 100%. Last time I was here I stayed in Arc 1800, which we ended up having to get a bus over to a few times as the nearer lifts were closed (the weather wasn’t great unfortunately)– I think being in 1800 is better on the whole.

The chalet was good, there were no problems and it had everything we needed. The rooms were smaller than ideal but warm enough and the beds were comfortable. There was a nice seating area which got lots of light and opened up onto the veranda (you could also access the veranda from one of our rooms). The chalet is part of a large building and shares a pool with the other chalets, I didn’t use it but my niece did and it was nice for the children to use after skiing from about 4pm. The access to the chalet was good and there was a lift.
There was a good boot storage place on the ground floor and our chalet had its own individual locker. Our hosts were ok, they were friendly and got on with the job. We had a temporary host for part of the week as one of the staff was ill. The chalet was also very clean.
The food was standard chalet food. I didn’t drink, but the people who drank the wine seemed to appreciate that there was plenty of choice – not one red but 3 or 4 to choose from.
It was our first time skiing with a child (we brought my niece) and it was our first time using childcare on holiday – it worked well. There was another girl at the chalet which my niece made friends with and the children’s club was very good. We pre-booked it beforehand, although we didn’t realise there would be the option of a supervised lunch so we also booked her into this once we were there. She had ski lessons in the morning – these were well organised and always appropriate. Then she came back to the chalet with the other children and had supervised lunch. Then they would play some games or paint or do something inside and then at about 2pm they took them skiing again. It’s a great place to go if you have a child and you want them occupied.
The whole package was great, not just the childcare, all of it was really well organised and run. The resort manager was good and gave us good information. It was all the little things that made a difference, for example they had planned everything very well at the ski shop. They took the children down and they had everything ready with sticky labels with their names on, etc. It only took about 10 minutes to get them all their stuff, it was so easy, I was really surprised.
It was a good holiday but I’m not sure if I would go back to Les Arcs, I think I’d like to try somewhere different.

I was very happy with this chalet, there was a group of 4 of us in the chalet which slept 12 and the stay was overall good value for money. Our room was fine, not massive but big enough for the 2 of us, the other 2 in our group were in a twin room which was also fine and had enough space for the both of them. - Emma the host was very good and the food was brilliant. Breakfast was great, we had a full English most mornings, the afternoon tea and cake were brilliant and in the evening we usually had an aperitif and 4 course meal which was very impressive quality. The boot room could have been a bit bigger, it was supposed to fit everyone’s boots but couldn’t, so we ended up having to take our boots upstairs to our room. The door was hanging off too – and still wasn’t fixed when we left. We hadn’t been to Les Arcs before, but the other people staying in the chalet had and acted as guides for us. All the runs were good and access from the chalet was easy, we just had to walk down the road and go up an escalator.
