1 review of Aparthotel St George Palace in Bansko, Bulgaria.

We had a very good holiday. Overall we were happy. There are a few things to note about the hotel though. Getting to the slopes was quite difficult. The hotel ran a minibus service, but there was only one driver and the bus was quite small (carried about 6-8 people). The service wasn’t regular and the bus driver alternated between taking people to the lift and acting as a taxi service up to the slopes/beginner area. So because of this we often walked which took about 25 minutes. We found the pavements were full of potholes and it was a bit of an obstacle course to walk around town.
The staff were generally friendly, although the receptionist wasn’t the most helpful. The food was nice. It was basic but there was plenty of it. It was buffet style and there was plenty of choice. We had a large room, when we first arrived we noticed a bit of a sewage smell but we didn’t really notice towards the end of the week.
We went as a family. The hotel caters to everyone, although I wouldn’t really recommend it for families and young people because of the difficulty travelling into town and also there isn’t much going on in the hotel in the evenings. If you want a drink or to go out you really need to take a taxi into town.
