Niseko Easter holidays
Niseko’s a cracking choice for Easter skiing, with clearer skies revealing incredible views of Mt. Yotei and the surrounding picture-perfect scenery. It’s not unheard of for the area’s legendary powder to carry on falling well into March, with the Annupuri and Hirafu lifts often running into May – meaning Easter should see the slopes in pretty good shape.
If your holiday goal is accumulating some serious skiing mileage, spring’s the best time of year for culture hungry skiers to hike up Yotei’s volcanic peak of 2000m. Thanks to steady weather and soft winds, Easter’s more settled conditions make hiking safer, and the sights over Hokkaido are amazing.
If they do become too soft in the afternoon, you’re unlikely to find yourself at a loose end – activities here range from ziplining and horse-riding to relaxing in the hot springs of an Onsen or gobbling up platters of awesome Asian cuisine.
