St Cristina Easter holidays
Although late in the season, the high altitudes of St Cristina’s surrounding slopes have been known to make for some good spring skiing over Easter, especially when Easter falls earlier in the year. Plan your day right and you can nail the lower slopes in the morning and avoid the slushier stuff in the afternoon by heading to higher altitudes. For a real adventure and even better snow, get up early and go on over to the Arabba side of the Sella Ronda where you can make your way on up to the 3342m Marmolda glacier. The 12km run back down to Arabba is long and weaving with some beautiful intermediate skiing. If you want to stay closer to home, the Seceda area is a good place to end your skiing day.... It could be a tough call between a deckchair at Baita Cuca and the apple strudel at the Almhotel… As it’s Easter, a visit to the chocolatier in Mulin DA or to Café Andy might be tempting too! If it does get slightly slushy after lunchtime, hang the skis up early and make use of the ice-skating or horse-riding in St Cristina, the indoor swimming pool in Ortisei or the shopping in Selva.
