Champoluc Half Term holidays
With historically excellent snow in February and most British families and school trips heading to the French resorts, you can enjoy a super week roaming the Monterosa area from Champoluc.
Covering 180km with loads of intermediate terrain, this is a great place to come if you’ve already got few weeks skiing under your belt. Those with less experience still have some good options: the Champoluc Ski School is the only ski school in the area, and is very well respected throughout the region. The Champoluc area has some long blues such as Del Lago and Belvedere, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and stunning views without necessarily getting on the harder runs. Antagnod is just a short bus ride away and has a couple of long blues and a forgiving red if you fancy a change of scenery.
To keep the kids entertained, be sure try out some of the outdoor activities. Whether you want to have a go at something new and exhilarating like cross country skiing over the large 50km of tracks, or go with guides and learn ice climbing or snow shoeing, kids with energy will be thoroughly entertained. Alternatively, bathe yourself in alpine cuisine in restaurants like La Grange for fantastic meat dishes, or Pizzeria Dir und Dom for a wide selection of pizza and pasta.
