Canazei Half Term holidays
This is a perfect time of year to try out some of the best skiing that Italy has to offer – the snow is usually in amazing condition come February and you’ll probably be able to soak up a good dose of Italian sunshine too. Canazei is a popular resort for families keen to get out on the snow - you’ll rarely find the main ski area crowded as Italians don’t have a half term break and with a huge ski area at your doorstep, skiers tend to disperse across the mountains.
If you’re taking the clan here to learn to ski, lessons can be booked with the Marmolada ski school- they teach more advanced levels too and also offer childcare services for children from 4 months. Experienced skiers should set aside a whole day to ski the spectacular Sella Ronda circuit – set off before 10am to make sure you have time to stop off at a mountain hut or two before the lifts close.
There are a handful of hotels in prime position for the slopes and après as well as cosy chalets tucked away in a peaceful corner for a relaxing week away. Hotels with half-board packages have breakfast and dinner included so you can fuel up for your day and tuck in to a well-deserved dinner on your return without lifting a finger. Most of our chalets are catered and offer an intimate space for family and friends with breakfast, tea and supper provided by your chalet host.
Grouping your accommodation with flights and transfers usually means the cheapest and easiest way to ski. You also have the option to arrange travel separately and book accommodation on its own- just call our experts for any advice and book early to secure the best deal for your week on the snow.
