Valloire Christmas holidays
Valloire loves Christmas! And the relationship is reciprocated as Christmas provides Valloire with plenty of snow and fine skiing conditions. Follow a great day’s skiing by spending an evening spinning and twirling on the floodlit ice rink. Or, for a festive daytime stroll with llamas (with a bit of imagination, they are reindeer), Tio and Tchupango will be your little helpers, carrying your load as you snowshoe through candyfloss topped trees for a picnic by the magical river. Find them at their home at Le Kosa Kruta farm. In the days running up to Christmas, visit the yuletide market for local food (buy a hunk of Beaufort cheese, a winner every time!), drink and all trinket-like things. Find Santa in his temporary grotto collecting your children’s letters before he sets off on his world tour.
After a day of festivities, head back to your Marzipan snow-topped chalet to toast your feet by the fire. Chalets provide the ultimate Christmassy venue to enjoy a merry meal for all the family. If your party doesn’t feel up to cooking, or you’re staying in a hotel, many establishments put on a sumptuous Christmas feast on December the 24th, le jour de Noel and the day of celebrations for the French. To join in the merriment at Valloire, see our Christmas ski deals below. Book early as everyone will be wanting a slice of this yuletide magic!
