St Sorlin d'Arves New Year holidays
Festive cheer tends not to dissipate come Boxing Day in the Alps, thanks to the beautiful snowy scenery and efforts of the Tourist Office. If you really can’t imagine Christmas Day minus the turkey and inevitably green surroundings, head out to Saint Sorlin over New Year’s Eve instead.
Despite falling relatively early in the season as a whole, the resorts altitude of 1600m, with runs stretching comfortably over the 2000m mark, makes sure good skiing can be found. High altitudes will not only provide good snow, but also the ultimate hangover cure for anyone feeling a little bleary eyed come January the 1st!
Celebrations in the past have included fireworks and shows from the instructors of the Ecole du Ski Francais, be sure to check with the Tourist Office on arrival to make sure you don’t miss any of the fun. There are a number of bars with an abundance of booze to drink in the New Year with. Try La Petite Ferme for some bowling and boozing for the adults and a playroom for the kids, or the d’Sybelles nightclub for some late night partying.
The festive period in general can be a bit hectic depending on how many people you’re cooking turkey for, so grab a very stress free package that includes flights and transfers for post-Christmas calm. If you’re wanting to take the car, we have packages that include channel crossings, as well as accommodation only options if you’re too busy thinking about turkey to make concrete travel plans or you’re one of those super-organised types who had the Christmas shopping done months back and have already sorted travel.
