Megeve Half Term holidays
We love skiing in Megeve at half term. The snow at this time of year is usually fabulous and the area has a nice mix of tree runs (great in poor visibility) as well as high open trails for enjoying the sun and scenery.
While it has a bit of an exclusive reputation, Megeve is also fantastic for families. With the tourist board’s ‘Famille plus label’, there’s lots here for children including 4 different kids clubs near each of the main cable cars. The Evasion ski area is largely beginner-intermediate friendly which gives you plenty to roam; advanced skiers should have more than enough black runs, off piste and snow parks to keep them occupied.
Teachers will like it here too - the atmosphere is relaxed and there are some lovely bars like the Lodge and Les Caves to while away the evenings.
The resort is one of the best for transfer times, with a 1 hour transfer from Geneva airport. It’s also one of the best places to ski if you’re driving from Calais, which means you can really make the most of the half term break.
