Les Gets Christmas holidays
Christmas is a big deal here, from the festive ice-rink to Santa spotting on the chairlifts; it really is the most wonderful time of the year! The resort puts an incredible amount of effort into the whole festive period, making it the perfect destination for a magical skiing holiday.
Past years have seen visits to the ‘Enchanted Forest’ with guided tours along the festive trail with the elves, who are usually more than happy to dish all the gory details about living and working with Father Christmas. The mini-theatre normally runs for the whole 2 week festive period, with events like elf gymnastics and letter collections in the centre of Les Gets. Elf workshops have been hugely popular in past years and are highly unique and interactive sessions where children got the chance to make a number of local edible specialities. To keep everyone updated with his busy schedule, Father Christmas will normally send his elves out into the village to sell his Gazette, full of stories, secrets, puzzles and much more, making the festive period really special. In the lead up to the big day, Father Christmas has been known to send his chief elf into the village square to help with letter decorating, writing and sending. These festive activities really do make it one of the best places to bring children over Christmas.
Christmas falls relatively early in the season, and despite the low altitude of Les Gets, the grassy slopes mean that less snow is needed for good snow coverage, allowing for great Christmas skiing.
