Whistler Half Term holidays
In a resort that really pushes the boat out for children and adults alike, sparing the extra time to cross the pond can reap the benefits (and there's no excuse not to get the homework/marking done before you land…). With Canadian schools operating on different term dates, the regularly voted world's best ski resort should be yours to roam.
The town's family events look set to continue over the next few seasons, so keep your eyes peeled for free activities and entertainment from arts and craft to bonfire nights and the famous Fire & Ice show. The Whistler Conference Centre usually hosts all kinds of indoor fun (games tables, bouncy castle, art and craft and video games), while outdoors you'll find funparks, family zones and tubing hills to enjoy.
February is pretty much slap bang in the middle of Whistler's super-long ski season, meaning there should be a fabulous build-up of snow and plenty more to come. The temperature in town tends to hover between -5 to 3°C, dropping around 10°C cooler up on the mountain so make sure to pack plenty of layers.
