Panorama New Year holidays
Start the New Year the best way possible and discover what this hidden gem in the Canadian Rockies has to offer. With varied skiing, hot spring baths, a cool après atmosphere and special New Year’s events, a dose of Panorama might be what you need to start the year on the right foot.
Most will be interested in the skiing first and foremost and Panorama doesn’t disappoint in this department. If you’re an off-piste enthusiast, there’s over 1000km of terrain accessible with the local heli-ski tour operator, RK heliski. On-piste, you have access to 120 trails ranging from challenging black runs, to gentler blues and greens. There’s normally pretty good snow cover by the end of the year, topped off with state of the art snowmaking on 40% of the main pistes.
Specially put on events for the New Year usually include a firework display, a torch lit parade down the Showoff run and a special New Year’s Eve dinner in the Great Hall. Nobody’s forgotten here - in past years there there’s been a family party with a live DJ as well as a party for children.
If an essential part of your New Year’s skiing holiday is more than a few après beers and you like a fairly lively and down to earth atmosphere, Panorama is ideal. The Jackpine pub and T-bar are two of our favourites, and both usually host NYE parties until the early hours. In past years, the Wildfire Grill has put on a special New Year’s menu too.
It’s not surprising that so many people want to escape to Panorama’s mountains to see in the New Year, so contact our ski specialists to get your accommodation booked up in advance!
