Pamporovo Christmas holidays
With friendly locals, good ski schools and a chilled-out village, Pamps is perfect for a week of Christmas skiing at a budget-friendly price.
The area is home to some beautiful pine forests which line the slopes all the way back down to the village, not only fashioning some welcome cover in poor visibility but also creating an unmistakably Christmassy feel, especially once the sun goes down and the village illuminates with its usual scattering of fairy lights.
The festivities usually begin on Christmas Eve over in Bulgaria; find a Bulgarian restaurant (Chevermeto is Pamps’ oldest) and you’ll probably be served a vegetarian meal of many courses as Bulgarians traditionally avoid meat in the build up to Christmas. The next day, meat is back on the menu and you can expect some serious feasting on the 25th. Many of the hotels and restaurants here (Orlovetz and Snezhanka to name just a couple) are known to offer a hearty Christmas dinner or if you're booking one of our apartments, you always have the opportunity to make your own.
If this sounds like the perfect Christmas break to you, our best value package includes flights, transfers and accommodation. If you’d rather a self-drive or sort out travel independently, that’s fine by us too, simply get in touch for more details on all of our deals.
