Borovets New Year holidays
There are plenty of ooh’s and aah’s guaranteed at New Year here in Borovets – but remember to save some for the fireworks! You’ll marvel in awe at the breath-taking views at the top of the Musala peak, and then catch your breath before zooming through tree lined slopes, knowing there’s a huge New Year’s Gala dinner usually waiting for you at the luxurious Festa Winter Palace Hotel, cosy Malina Village chalet, or any of the other great places on offer (check the individual accommodation pages or speak to our ski specialists to see if they’re providing a special dinner). After you’re suitably stuffed with great food, head outside as the whole village traditionally gathers to watch as the fireworks light up the magnificent Rila mountain range. From here on out the rest is up to you – call it a night and wake up energised for a day on the slopes, or take advantage of the bars and clubs that gave Borovets its reputation for booming après ski. Bars like Bobby’s and Samokov will ensure you have yourself a New Year’s Eve to remember…or not remember, as is often the case!
If you can get your head to stop spinning the next day, welcome in the New Year with some 360s of your own in the Borosport snow park. The park, like the rest of the resort, should have pretty decent snow cover around this time of year, and if not there’s the added help of some artificial snow making facilities ensuring you’ll start your year the only way we at Sno know how.
