Zurs Easter holidays
The tourist office confidently predicts that there’s great snow to be had throughout the season in Zurs, and a quick look at the snow history does nothing to dispel this notion. The resort’s high altitude and great snow record means that you can book an Easter trip long in advance, and not be left sweating over the conditions at the last minute.
You can also enjoy some lovely Austrian sunshine at this time of year- take advantage of the outside bar at the Zürserhof as you soak up some late season sun on a deck chair. With great terrain for beginners, Zurs is a perfect location for a first time ski trip. There are fewer people on the slopes this late in the season, so you’ll be able to practice your snowplough in relative privacy.
Dine out this Easter and enjoy some traditional mountain fare in one of the great local restaurants- there’s more schnitzel and sausage than you could possibly imagine, and the fondue and raclette at Toni’s Einkehr are a dream come true for foodies.
Children are in for a treat too- the Easter Bunny has been known to frequent local hotels over recent years, bringing gifts to the children of the region.
Driving to the alps at this time of year is a popular choice- road conditions are better and there’s usually less traffic than in the height of the season- so consider one of our self-drive holidays and pack as much as you can possibly fit in the boot. That said, airports are also usually less busy at this stage of the season, so take advantage of one of our packages that includes flights and we’ll have you on the slopes in no time at all.
