Westendorf Easter holidays
Westendorf is a great choice for families during the Easter holidays as later in the season is usually much less crowded and the weather’s milder - perfect for a peaceful getaway. At this time of year, the best way to enjoy the slopes is by getting up early as the lifts open. You can relax with a tipple in the sunshine later on – we like the terrace at Gerry’s which is based on nursery slope 84 just above the village centre, it’s usually bustling come late afternoon.
Conveniently located just an hour from Innsbruck airport, Westendorf is the perfect destination for a quick spring break without wasting any time on long transfers. It is often possible to get an extra half day skiing upon your arrival if you fly early!
The ski area is largely suited to families and children are well looked after on the nursery slope. The local ski schools have an excellent programme on offer to ensure children have fun and get up to speed, with Bobo’s Mini Club for those aged 3-4 and Bobo’s Kids Club for ages 5-14. More experienced skiers and snowboarders will have ample opportunity to progress with 128km of red runs to master. The “Kandler” red run (No.11) descents an impressive 1026 vertical metres and is sure to challenge improvers. The Snowpark - Boarder’s Playground - is really popular with teens and has various kickers, rails and boxes.
If you have little ones in tow that need looking after while you're on the slopes, ask us about our accommodation with childcare. For the ultimate stress free holiday book your holiday as package with flights, transfers and catering all taken care of. If driving is your preferred travel option you can also check out our self -drive packages.
