St Christoph Easter holidays
It may be towards the end of the season but normally there’ll still be good conditions in St. Christoph, which sits high at 1800m. Even if there’s not a lot of cover, 130km of the Arlberg slopes have facilities that are able to manufacture snow.
St. Christoph is wonderful for anyone looking to hit the St Anton slopes but stay at a quieter base. The beautiful setting in the mountains and the wooden buildings are enchanting. The Hospiz Alm serves gorgeous food and critics seem to agree too, it’s been awarded 2 toques -a major food award in Austria. If it seems strange that everyone’s popping to the WC a bit too often, it’s because the restaurant famously has a slide leading to the bathrooms – children love it! Everyone loves a mountain restaurant with a terrace towards the end of the season and we think the award-winning Verwallstube near Galzig is an excellent choice.
St Christoph is quiet in terms of events and activities, but there’s always the chance to pop over to St Anton where special events at this time of year include the legendary White Thrill race. A weekly ski show usually runs throughout the season and has previously included fireworks, ski demonstrations and more and we think you should enjoy it.
