Solden Half Term holidays
There are loads of reasons why Solden is fantastic over February half term. The skiing is usually top notch –it’s the only Austrian resort with 3 summits over 3000m, loads of runs are above 2,000m and any below 2200m can be covered by artificial snow.
Families here during the week off school will find plenty of routes for all abilities – from some fantastic beginner slopes on the glaciers to the steep descents back into the main village like Red route 19. There are a choice of ski schools to introduce you to the slopes or help you improve, with the most popular being Yellow Power (who do groups of up to 8) and Ski School Solden Hochsolden.
After a day on the piste, restaurants like Culinaria and Hotel Bergland offer fantastic food. A weekly nighttime ski show runs on Wednesday and continues during half-term week. It’s an entertaining and spectacular way to spend the evening - expect acrobatics, a torchlight show and fireworks and much more.
If you just want to relax, a trip to the beautiful (and it really is beautiful) Aqua Dome is a must – there’s no better way to enjoy the view than from the heated pool on top of the building.
Solden has plenty of accommodation from top-of-the-range hotels to lovely alpine chalets. Our best holiday packages include flights and transfers for maximum convenience but other options are available too. If you’d prefer to drive, you’ll find some terrific self-drive packages and we can also do accommodation-only bookings if you want.
