Schladming Half Term holidays
Schladming's offerings for children make it a popular resort in February, when all four mountains are usually in excellent nick for a week of skiing.
The list of off-slope activities seems to go on and on - the ice palace up on the Dachstein is always a huge hit with little ones (especially Frozen fans) and in the same area, the Sky Walk and suspension bridge let you appreciate just how stunning this UNESCO protected area is. For some good old fashioned winter fun, the 7km sled run (on Hochwurzen) is one of the longest in the Alps and usually floodlit in the evenings for some starlit sliding.
Ski schools like Hopl run group lessons for tots, teens and adults as well as offering private tuition if you'd like to learn with friends or family - booking lessons early is always recommended on peak weeks like this, our ski specialists can help you with the legwork.
