Schladming Easter holidays
At a snow sure 2700m, the Dachstein glacier sees skiing through to the end of April most years, which puts the odds in your favour this Easter. If the lower slopes are suffering in the afternoons, use it as an excuse to visit the suspension bridge and Sky Walk, where the views of UNESCO protected landscape in spring time are incredible. Alternatively, enjoy the Easter sunshine with a spot of good old Austrian après - the enormous Hohenhaus Tenne (reportedly Europe's biggest ski hut) at the bottom of the slopes always has a buzzing atmosphere.
The locals cater excellently for children, and for those bringing the brood over the school holidays, previous seasons have seen a ‘family festival' including children's parties, Easter egg hunts, arts and crafts.
