Obergurgl Easter holidays
As one of Austria’s most snow-sure resorts, you’re pretty much guaranteed excellent skiing along with fantastic views on sunny Easter days. Hotel Sportiv has doorstep skiing and if you’re travelling with young children taking lessons, Hotel Edelweiss and Gurgl is opposite the nursery slope and ski school meeting area meaning an effortless week on the piste. If you’re opting for a chalet, we have some good choices in prime locations – the Chalet Verwall is really near to the main street and just a stroll to the lifts. All chalets are catered so you can enjoy a hassle-free holiday without having to lift a finger.
On sunny Easter days you can perch in a cosy balconied bar and soak up the rays – Hohe Mutt has a wonderful terrace overlooking 21 surrounding peaks and makes a lovely spot for lunch. A must visit is the Top Mountain Star restaurant over in Hochgurgl – at 3080m it offers spectacular views (and the food isn’t bad either!). You’re likely to catch a ‘Skivolution’ show during your stay – a weekly event where the instructors exhibit their tricks to music and fireworks. For another good night, look out for Hochgurgl’s toboggan evenings.
