Neustift Half Term holidays
The local slopes on the Elfer Mountain are fantastic for those who are skiing for the first time – Schischule Neustift do group and private lessons for tots, teens and adults and the area’s also home to a super long sled run when legs need a break from the skis.
The Elfer slopes are usually in great shape in February, and there’s always the insurance of the Stubai glacier ski area if you need better snow. If you take the bus over to the glacier, do wrap up warm as the slopes are a lot more exposed over there. It’s well worth the extra thermals - the ‘Family Camp’ area has nursery slopes, 11 blues and a funslope with waves and jumps, all served by easy-to-use lifts. More confident skiers and boarders are also better served over here, with the Stubai Zoo snowpark, 15 freeride trails and on-piste challenges like the Daunhill black.
Neustift’s great positioning doesn’t end with its proximity to the glacier. The resort’s only 40 minutes from Innsbruck airport which lets you really make the most of the week, and Innsbruck city is even closer for non-skiers who want to explore.
