Kaprun Half Term holidays
If you’re having difficulties deciding where to take the kids away for half term, Kaprun could be the resort that solves all of your problems.
Maiskogel- ‘The Family Mountain’ is a paradise for younger children and beginners. The wide array of expert tuition, easily accessible lift system and variety of differently graded runs ensure that beginners receive the perfect introduction to skiing. The more adventurous will soon want to test their skills on the Schermer Steilhag (the only advanced run on the mountain) and the Maisipark before graduating to the longer runs over at Kaprun.
For parents who’ve grown used to being overtaken by their children, the runs over at Kitzsteinhorn will prove to be far more appropriate. Here, you can choose to either watch your kids race off into the distance from the comfort of one of the many restaurants or attempt to keep up over some of the best terrain in the area.
Those who have grown up with skis will find themselves at home on the freeride routes and in the Easy Park - work up to hitting some of the larger features in the Central Park by the end of the week. There’s even a handy spectator area for those parents who fancy taking an academic interest in the airborne activities of their offspring.
To get to the pistes as soon as schools out, consider one of our all-inclusive packages, which include the cost of flying and airport transfers. But if aviation’s not your thing, how about driving to the Alps with one of our self-drive packages? Once there, you can retain as much or as little of your everyday routine as you like. Our catered chalets give everyone the week off, which the family cook will surely be grateful for, whilst the various board options available in our hotels give you the freedom to pick and choose where you eat each evening.
