Finkenberg Half Term holidays
Finkenberg makes a great choice of resort to spend Feb half term with the family this year, irrespective of the ability level of everyone travelling. There’ll be plenty of snow by the time you arrive, and the colder temperatures will ensure that it stays that way for the week.
There are some great huts on the mountain to warm up in if the kids get cold- the Freiraum at the peak of the Ahorn is a great place for a hot chocolate whilst the rest of the family potter around the nearby blue runs. There’s little danger of the kids being traumatised by fast skiing pros, or inadvertently turning onto a devilishly steep black run- the advanced and beginner areas are very separate.
Off the slopes, the kids will love the natural ice rink in the centre of Finkenberg, and there are three tobogganing tracks in the neighbourhood- all accessed by the free ski bus of course. Some of our hotels have childcare facilities for those too young to hit the slopes- or even just to give Mum and Dad the chance to sneak off for a romantic meal during the week.
